Polo Científico Tecnológico, Buenos Aires, Scientific and technological center in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The Polo Científico Tecnológico is a research and technology center in Buenos Aires with four floors housing laboratories, research facilities, and office spaces. The building was designed according to rationalist principles and brings together various scientific disciplines under one roof.
The center was created by transforming an existing structure into a comprehensive research complex for Buenos Aires. This development marked an important step forward in the city's science infrastructure.
The western section houses a science museum, auditoriums, and a library that connect research work with public education. These spaces allow visitors to engage with current projects and innovations in a hands-on way.
The main entrance is from the esplanade on Godoy Cruz Street, where all building sections are accessible. Each area has separate access points and service zones, making navigation through the complex straightforward.
The building uses grey water systems, solar heating, and photovoltaic panels to reduce energy consumption. These sustainable technologies are integrated into the rationalist design.
