This former police station in La Plata functioned as a secret prison during the military dictatorship, featuring cells, interrogation rooms, and offices arranged around a central courtyard across two floors. The spaces retain their sparse design, revealing how ordinary administrative areas existed alongside detention zones.

The police station was repurposed as a secret prison in 1976 when the military dictatorship took hold and remained operational in this capacity until 1978. After the dictatorship ended, the facility was preserved and eventually converted into a documentation and memorial center.

The site was transformed into a memorial after the dictatorship and now preserves the stories of those who suffered there through exhibitions and testimonies from survivors. Visitors encounter the names and accounts of individuals whose memories are kept alive to prevent similar atrocities.

The location sits on Diagonal 74 between Streets 24 and 64 and is reachable by public transportation. Visits take place only with organized groups at scheduled times and require advance booking.

A secret maternity ward operated on the grounds where two infants were born while ten pregnant women were held in detention. This fact reveals the system's particular cruelty, which offered no protection to expectant or laboring women.
