Parque Temático de la Cruz

Parque Temático de la Cruz is a monumental cross park in the Misiones jungle region, built across a large forested area with natural springs and native tree species. The main structure combines concrete foundations with a tall metallic framework forming the cross shape.

The park was built as a memorial site in a region deeply connected to the independence movement of the 1800s. A plaque on the grounds honors Andrés Guacurari, a key figure in that regional struggle.

The open-air amphitheater hosts artistic performances that reflect local traditions and regional expressions. These events show how communities here celebrate their creative heritage in a natural setting.

An elevator inside the structure takes visitors up to viewing platforms at the arms of the cross. From these high points, you get broad views over the surrounding forest and landscape.

The cross combines two very different building materials in an unusual way, showing an inventive design approach. The concrete base and metal frame create a monument that feels both grounded and open to the sky.
