Guarambaré is a district in Central Paraguay that covers roughly 30 square kilometers at an elevation of 105 meters. The area has a concentrated population living across neighborhoods and residential zones.
Spanish settlers established a colony here in 1538 that later became an important Franciscan mission station. This settlement helped shape the region's development during the colonial period.
The name comes from a Guaraní people who lived in this area before Spanish arrival. The place carries this connection to its origins and keeps that heritage alive in how locals understand their community.
The district sits about 29 kilometers from Asunción and borders the municipalities of Julián Augusto Saldívar, Ypané, and Villeta. This closeness to the capital city makes it easy to reach for day trips or passing through to other destinations.
