Río Pilcomayo National Park, National park and wetland sanctuary in Formosa, Argentina.

The park contains wide grasslands, wetlands, palm forests, and gallery forests across 51,889 hectares of protected Chaco Oriental environment.

The area received national park designation in 1951 with 285,000 hectares, but underwent reduction to its current size in 1968.

Indigenous groups inhabited the riverbank region for generations, managing natural resources through sustainable practices passed down through centuries.

Visitors can access two recreational areas, Estero Poi and Laguna Blanca, with camping facilities, restrooms, and interpretative trails near Laguna Blanca town.

The park hosts 322 bird species, 90 mammal species, and the white palm tree reaches 14 meters high, providing nesting spots for parrots.
