Villeta

Villeta stretches across 888 square kilometers along the Paraguay River, featuring industrial facilities and a port terminal with 435 meters of pier length.

Juan Gregorio Bazán de Pedraza established San Felipe de Borbón del Valle del Bastán on March 5, 1714, which later became known as Villeta.

The Church of the Virgin of the Rosary contains murals by artist Adán Kunos that document the artistic expressions of 19th-century Paraguay.

The district's port terminal, managed by the National Administration for Navigation and Ports, maintains a minimum depth of 10 feet throughout the year.

The first telegraph station in Paraguay was installed in Villeta in 1864, leading to the designation of October 16 as National Telecommunications Day.
