Rio Brilhante

Rio Brilhante is a municipality in Mato Grosso do Sul located in Brazil's Central-West region. The land is flat with fertile red soil, crossed by three rivers—Brilhante, Vacaria, and Ivinhema—that provide plentiful water resources for the region.

Settlement started in the 1830s when families like the Lopes and Souza Leal began exploring the region. Border conflicts with Paraguay later forced people to temporarily abandon the area.
