Morada dos Baís, Cultural center in Campo Grande, Brazil

Morada dos Baís is a two-story building from 1918 featuring Italian-imported tiles and restored masonry across multiple exhibition spaces. The interior displays craftsmanship details and preserves the original architecture from the early 1900s.

The building served as a residence for Bernardo Franco Baís until 1938 and later became a boarding house. It transformed into a cultural center in 1995.

The Museu Lídia Baís holds the personal objects of the Baís family and works by the painter Lídia Baís, who in 1937 painted panels on the house walls. Her former bedroom, the blue Sala Mística, and the pink Sala das Paixões can be visited, with temporary and permanent exhibitions.

The center is located on Avenida Noroeste and opens several days a week with different hours on weekends. It is easily accessible from the city center and serves as a convenient starting point for exploring the area.

On 26 August 1994, to mark Campo Grande's anniversary, the national postal service issued a commemorative postmark bearing the building's facade; it was used for months in post offices across Brazil and abroad. The blue room, Lídia Baís's bedroom, was called Sala Mística, and the pink one Sala das Paixões.
