Originally constructed as Hotel Majestic by architect Theo Wiederspahn, the building hosted prominent figures including President Getulio Vargas and poet Mario Quintana.
The center maintains multiple artistic spaces dedicated to cinema, music, visual arts, dance, theater, and literature, promoting regional and national creative expressions.
Located in downtown Porto Alegre, the cultural center welcomes visitors Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 8 PM with free admission.
The former hotel room where poet Mario Quintana lived for 12 years remains preserved, displaying original furniture and personal belongings.
