Canela

Canela is a mountain municipality in Serra Gaúcha situated at 837 meters above sea level, featuring waterfalls, parks, and protected natural areas. The landscape consists of forested hillsides, open spaces, and green areas that make up the local terrain.

The municipality received its official status on December 28, 1944, beginning its development as an administrative division. From this founding year, the administrative structures took shape and continue to define the area today.
