Caracol State Park

The 25-hectare park features the Caracol Falls, a 131-meter waterfall surrounded by subtropical forests and marked hiking trails.

The land belonged to the Kaingang people until 1863 when German settlers, including the Wassen family, established farming activities in the region.

The park stands as a symbol of environmental conservation in Rio Grande do Sul, shifting from logging activities to nature preservation.

Visitors can access multiple observation points, use the cable car system, and explore designated picnic areas throughout the park grounds.

The park records winter temperatures as low as 10.5°C with occasional snowfall during July and August, creating rare winter landscapes in Brazil.
