Fuente de Jerusalén

The Jerusalem Fountain is a tall structure topped by three oversized bronze angels at its peak. The angels dominate the plaza visually and can be seen from considerable distance.

The monument was built in 1995 to mark an important milestone in Jerusalem's history. The project links this ancient city's past to Curitiba's own identity.

The three bronze angels embody the coexistence of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, making visible the city's religious diversity. Their presence creates a tangible symbol of peaceful coexistence among faiths that visitors encounter directly.

The fountain stands at a busy intersection and remains open to visitors throughout the year. The surrounding plaza provides space to walk around and view the figures from different angles.

The project was initially conceived to honor the three Americas, but the concept shifted to focus on religious harmony instead. This change in direction reveals how a public artwork can transform its meaning during creation.
