Suite Vollard

Suite Vollard is a residential complex in Curitiba featuring floors that can rotate independently. The building displays a striking exterior of double-layered glass in silver, gold, and blue tones that create a dynamic visual effect.

The building was designed by architect Bruno de Franco and constructed by Moro Construções Civis LTDA, opening to residents in 2001. The formal opening ceremony took place in 2004, marking its official launch as a mixed-use complex.

The building takes its name from a collection of etchings by Pablo Picasso that were displayed during the opening celebration. This connection links the residential project to the world of art and gives it a cultural dimension beyond its striking architecture.

The lower floors house an executive center while the upper levels contain residential apartments. Visitors should note the building is private property, so it is best to view the rotating mechanism from a public vantage point.

Eleven of the main floors can complete a full 360-degree rotation in one hour, allowing residents to experience changing views throughout their day. This rotating mechanism is a technical feature that sets the building apart from typical residential projects.
