Solar Amado Bahia

Solar Amado Bahia is a Gothic Revival mansion with spacious rooms arranged around a central corridor across two public levels. The building contains numerous chambers and now functions as an ice cream museum open to visitors.

A Portuguese architect designed this mansion, which was built in 1904 for a wedding celebration. The building was originally conceived as a residence and later transformed into a cultural venue.

The mansion displays European craftsmanship through English metalwork, French mirrors, and English porcelain throughout its rooms. Local artists created ceiling paintings that define the interior's visual character.

The mansion is accessible through guided tours and offers access to an adjoining ice cream parlor. Visitors should check opening times beforehand and wear appropriate clothing for indoor visits.

The interior walls feature a special stucco technique that imitates the appearance of real marble throughout the building's many doorways. This crafted method creates an elegant visual effect across the entire structure.
