Coruripe

Coruripe is a municipality in southern Alagoas located along the Atlantic coast. The town spreads across a large area with varied terrain and sits at a moderate elevation above sea level.

The area developed from a small settlement into an official municipality in 1850. This establishment marked an important moment for the development of southern Alagoas.
