Santa Rita spans across 719 square kilometers of land, with a population of 159,121 residents distributed throughout its urban and rural areas.
The municipality emerged from a resting point for traveling merchants in the 19th century, receiving its official foundation status on March 19, 1890.
The municipality preserves three federally protected heritage sites, including the Una Mill Chapel and the Church of Nossa Senhora das Batalhas.
Santa Rita contains more than 30 family health units, multiple banking agencies, and the Hospital Flávio Ribeiro Coutinho serving its population.
The municipality ranks as the second-largest pineapple producer in Paraíba state and maintains substantial sugarcane cultivation operations.
