National Gallery of Zimbabwe

The National Gallery of Zimbabwe is an art museum in Harare holding nearly 6000 artworks across three locations in the city and two other towns. The main building on Julius Nyerere Way displays paintings, sculptures, and photographic works from multiple artists.

The museum was founded in 1957 as the National Gallery of Rhodesia and opened under Frank McEwen's direction. Over the decades it grew into a major center for promoting regional artistic work.
