West Cape Howe National Park, Nature reserve in Albany, Australia
The park stretches across 36 square kilometers of coastal terrain, featuring white sandy beaches, limestone cliffs, and dense karri forests along the Southern Ocean.
The area received C Class Reserve designation in 1985 and achieved A Class status in 1987 after incorporating 41 additional hectares from a timber reserve.
The Menang people maintain traditional connections to this land, which encompasses Torbay Head, the southernmost point of mainland Western Australia.
Shelley Beach provides vehicle access to a campground with restrooms, barbecue facilities, and a lookout point overlooking the coastline.
The 2008 scientific survey discovered populations of the rare Main's assassin spider, which now holds protected status within the park boundaries.
