Lowlands Beach

Lowlands Beach lies between two coves along limestone cliffs on Western Australia's coast. The water is turquoise and the sand slopes gently, surrounded by native bushland that leads down from the parking area.

The area is part of the Albany region, where the first European settlement in Western Australia was established. This early colonization shaped the development of the entire coastal region.

Local residents maintain a seasonal shade shelter from November to April, showing how the community values supporting visitors during warm months. The shelter reflects the region's welcoming approach to beach recreation.

The beach is accessible via Lower Denmark Road, positioned between Albany and Denmark township. The path from the parking area descends through bushland to reach the sand.

A small freshwater stream flows across the sand year-round, creating a natural boundary between the two coves. This feature surprises visitors who did not expect to find flowing water in such a location.
