Mount Beadell, Mountain summit in Gibson Desert, Australia
Mount Beadell rises 527 meters above sea level in Western Australia, standing as a prominent geological formation within the Gibson Desert landscape.
The mountain received its name in 1958 after Len Beadell, the surveyor who constructed the Gunbarrel Highway through the remote Australian outback.
A memorial containing a replica theodolite and commemorative plaque was installed at the summit in 1996, marking Len Beadell's contributions to Australian exploration.
Visitors require detailed preparation for the remote location, situated 155 kilometers west of Jackie Junction and 295 kilometers east of Carnegie Station.
The mountain serves as a critical survey point with coordinates 25°32′7.37″S and 125°16′32.71″E, featuring two accessible roads leading to its summit.
