Peruri 88, Mixed-use skyscraper in Jakarta, Indonesia
Peruri 88 is a mixed-use skyscraper in Jakarta with 88 floors above ground and six basement levels. The structure houses retail spaces, offices, residential units, a hotel, and parking facilities connected by 30 elevators serving the entire building.
Construction started in 2015 and was completed by 2020, marking a significant addition to Jakarta's skyline. The building serves as the headquarters for Perum Peruri, Indonesia's state-owned currency printing company.
The design draws inspiration from Java's natural landscape, with forms that echo dense forests and water-worn stones. These references create a bridge between contemporary construction and the region's environment.
The building functions as a public hub with different zones designed for various activities and visitors. Clear signage and layout help you navigate between retail, office, and residential areas on the different levels.
Four separate towers are connected through bridging floors, creating a vertical city concept that blends different functions. The design includes a semi-public rooftop park that offers unexpected green space high above the street.
