Larangan is an administrative district in Tangerang City consisting of eight urban communities, including Larangan Utara, Larangan Selatan, and Cipadu Jaya. The district features residential neighborhoods mixed with commercial areas and local markets.
The district was created from the division of Ciledug district as its own administrative unit. It became the only one in Tangerang City to share a direct border with South Jakarta.
