Larangan

Larangan is an administrative district in Tangerang City consisting of eight urban communities, including Larangan Utara, Larangan Selatan, and Cipadu Jaya. The district features residential neighborhoods mixed with commercial areas and local markets.

The district was created from the division of Ciledug district as its own administrative unit. It became the only one in Tangerang City to share a direct border with South Jakarta.

The textile market in Cipadu serves as the commercial heart, where traders conduct business daily across the district. This marketplace shapes daily routines and local economic life.

The district connects to Jakarta through the TransJakarta rapid bus system, with stations available at Puri Beta 1 and 2. This provides easy connections to nearby areas and the broader metro region.

The population density reaches 13,307 people per square kilometer, with a total population of 153,879 residents as of mid-2024.
