Kuningan Barat

Kuningan Barat is a commercial district in Jakarta with numerous office towers, shopping centers, and residential buildings. The area connects to major roads including Jalan HR Rasuna Said and Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto, making it easily accessible throughout the city.

The district got its name from early Muslim settlers who came from Kabupaten Kuningan in West Java during the 16th century. This historical connection to the Kuningan region remains an important part of the area's identity.

Several international embassies and the Erasmus Huis cultural center bring people from different backgrounds to this area. This mix of foreign institutions shapes the atmosphere and creates a cosmopolitan feel for both residents and visitors.

This area is a busy commercial center, so it can become quite crowded during rush hours. It is better to explore the district in early morning or late afternoon when there are fewer people around.

Near the Telkom Regional Division 2 building, there is a historical burial site containing the grave of Pangeran Kuningan. This significant historical spot is often overlooked by visitors, though it holds an important connection to the district's past.
