Latumeten Stasiun Grogol, Railway and bus station in Grogol Petamburan, Indonesia
Latumeten Stasiun Grogol is a combined train and bus station in the Grogol Petamburan district of western Jakarta, marked by two separate platform buildings that stand on opposite sides of the Grogol River. The station serves both KRL Commuter Line trains and Transjakarta buses on Corridor 9, connecting the city center with surrounding areas.
The station reopened on June 16, 2015, after being closed for construction of a double-track line between Duri and Tangerang. That upgrade turned it into a more central point in the rail network serving western Jakarta.
The station sits close to two large universities in western Jakarta, giving it a noticeably student-heavy crowd on weekdays. Morning and evening rushes are filled mostly with young commuters carrying bags and heading to or from campus.
The station has two separate platform buildings on different sides of the Grogol River, so it is worth checking which side matches your train or bus before arriving. Passageways between the platforms can get very busy during peak hours.
Both elevated platforms are built so that train doors open on the right side, which is unusual for this line. This layout allows passengers on either side of the river to board and exit safely without crossing to the other platform.
