Meikarta, Modern urban development in Cikarang, Indonesia.
Meikarta is a 500-hectare urban development in Cikarang featuring residential towers, shops and offices, schools, hospitals, and a central park with a lake at its core. The district combines housing, workplaces, and daily services across a single integrated site.
The project began in August 2017 as a major construction initiative by a large Indonesian developer. It was built to meet growing housing and employment needs in the Cikarang industrial region.
The district features spaces for art exhibitions and community gatherings, with sports facilities and entertainment venues scattered throughout the area. These spaces shape daily life and bring residents together for recreation and social activities.
The area sits along the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, making it easy to reach by car from nearby industrial areas and residential neighborhoods. Plan your visit with a vehicle in mind, as the site is designed primarily for car access.
The project was originally designed as one of the largest residential developments in Southeast Asia, planned to grow over many years. Its massive scale and vision made it an unusually ambitious undertaking for the region.
