Buahbatu

Buahbatu is a district in Bandung City comprising four neighborhoods with varied architecture and street layouts. The area sits on higher ground and contains a mix of residential buildings, small shops, and local institutions.

The district took its current form in 1987 when surrounding areas were incorporated into Bandung City as part of urban expansion. The name was restored to Buahbatu in 2007 after residents requested to return to the historical designation.

The area was previously called Margacinta before residents successfully requested to restore the historical name. This name change reflects how much the local community values preserving their identity.
