Jenderal Soedirman University is a public higher education institution in North Purwokerto, Indonesia. The campus spreads across several sites, with Grendeng housing the main administration and additional buildings located at Karangwangkal and Blater.
The institution began in 1962 when the Faculty of Agriculture was founded through a partnership with Diponegoro University. A year later, the establishment became an independent university with official recognition.
The university emblem displays a lotus flower crown representing Indonesian state principles and depicts the namesake general in local dress. Students use the campus grounds daily for academic work and collaborative projects across different departments.
