Renville Bridge, Railway bridge in Kebumen, Indonesia

The Renville Bridge is a railway bridge in Kebumen that crosses a river and connects two sections of track between Kroya and Kutoarjo. The structure carries both passenger and freight trains moving through Central Java on this important route.

The bridge is named after the Renville Agreement, and during the Dutch offensive of 21 July 1947, when Dutch forces pushed as far as Gombong, the old bridge stood on the line that became the Kali Kemit demarcation between the two sides. The original structure no longer exists: it was replaced by a new bridge built for the double-tracking project on Java's central and southern lines.

The name Renville was given by independence fighters to commemorate the Renville Agreement, signed on board the USS Renville in 1948. The old bridge has been replaced by a new structure for the double-track project on Java's central and southern lines. In 2014 the bridge appeared in the mystery programme Mister Tukul Jalan-Jalan.

The bridge is located near Kebumen Station, where trains stop regularly and five tracks serve different types of rail services. Visitors should note that the route between Kroya and Kutoarjo is well served and the station is easily accessible.
