Gunung Slamet, Active stratovolcano in Central Java, Indonesia.
Mount Slamet rises to an elevation of 3,428 meters, making it the second highest volcano on Java Island and the tallest in Central Java province.
The volcano has recorded numerous eruptions since the 19th century, with notable volcanic activities in 1952, 1961, 1990, and more recently in 2009.
