Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim is a university in Malang with eight faculties offering programs in theology, education, engineering, medicine, economics, and other fields. The 120-hectare campus includes lecture halls, laboratories, a library, and various facilities that support teaching and research activities.
The institution began in 1961 as a branch of an Islamic college in Surabaya and became independent in 1997 as STAIN Malang. In 2004, it was elevated to university status by presidential decree and received its present name.
