Jawa Timur Park, Amusement park in Batu City, Indonesia.
Jawa Timur Park is a leisure complex in Batu made up of three separate zones: a classic amusement park with rides, an educational museum featuring natural history and anatomical collections, and a water park combined with a zoo. Each area has its own entrance and thematic focus, and visitors can move between roller coasters, interactive exhibits, and animal encounters.
Paul Sendjojo opened the first section in 2001, transforming a rural area into a popular destination for families across Java. The two additional parks followed in the years after, expanding the offer from rides alone to educational and nature experiences.
The name honors the province of East Java and emphasizes regional roots, while visitors walk through reconstructed villages, traditional craft stalls, and galleries that present local heritage. Some sections feature Javanese architecture and everyday objects from different eras, giving a sense of how life in the region has unfolded over time.
The complex sits on the edge of Batu town and is reachable by public minibus or taxi, with each zone requiring separate admission. Morning and early afternoon tend to be quieter before local groups and school parties arrive late morning.
The second park section houses the largest museum of human anatomy in Southeast Asia, with preserved specimens and models showing organ systems and developmental stages. The collection came together through collaboration with medical institutes and serves both school groups and curious visitors who want to understand the human body better.
