Holy Family Cathedral, Banjarmasin

The Holy Family Cathedral is a religious building designed in the neo-Gothic style with detailed stonework, stained glass windows, and religious artwork inside. The interior features high ceilings, columns, and decorative elements visible throughout the different sections and around the main altar.

The building was designed under architect Roestenhurg and consecrated in 1931, marking an important moment for the local church. In 1961 it became the mother church of the Diocese of Banjarmasin, establishing its role as the administrative center for the region.

The cathedral serves as the spiritual center for Catholics in the city and hosts regular worship services and religious celebrations. The building is an active place where the community gathers for faith and participates in organized events throughout the year.
