Magic Mountain, Glenelg, Amusement park in Glenelg, Australia
Magic Mountain was an amusement park in Glenelg with multiple water slides, pinball machines, and arcade games spread across the grounds. The venue combined wet attractions with indoor gaming areas to entertain visitors of different ages.
The park opened in December 1982 and became a popular destination for beachgoers. After more than two decades, it closed and was demolished in 2004 to make way for a new coastal development project.
The park introduced its own token system for attractions, similar to Disney parks, creating a specific entertainment currency for games and rides.
The park was located directly at Glenelg Beach, making it easy to reach by car or public transport. Visitors could move freely between attractions and the grounds were straightforward to navigate for families.
The facility contained the largest water slide configuration in the Southern Hemisphere during its operational period, with four slides at different heights.
