The National Wine Centre features multiple spaces across several levels, presenting interactive displays about wine production and Australian viticulture through modern exhibits.
Architect Philip Cox designed this educational institution, which opened its doors on October 7, 2001 as a center dedicated to wine knowledge and appreciation.
The center acknowledges the traditional lands of the Kaurna people while showcasing the wine heritage of Australia through exhibitions and educational programs.
The venue provides six flexible event spaces, including the Hickinbotham Hall that accommodates 300 guests, with modern audiovisual equipment and natural lighting.
Visitors can sample wines from 55 Australian wine regions at the Tasting Room, selecting from over 120 different varieties stored in temperature-controlled displays.
