Adelaide Australia Temple, Mormon temple in Marden, South Australia

The Adelaide Australia Temple is a single-story building at 53–59 Lower Portrush Road in Marden, a suburb northeast of central Adelaide. Its exterior is snow-white granite from Campolonghi, Italy, and a single spire carries a gold-leafed statue of the angel Moroni. Inside are two endowment rooms, two sealing rooms and a baptistry, on about 10,700 square feet.

Construction began in 1999 and was completed a year later as the 89th temple built by this religious organization. The opening marked a significant moment for regional believers who had previously faced extended travel for temple services.

The temple serves as a sacred place where members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gather to perform important religious ceremonies and ordinances. Its interior layout reflects the spiritual practices and values central to their faith community.

The temple stands at 53–59 Lower Portrush Road in Marden, northeast of central Adelaide, on a 6.94-acre site with gardens, trees and plazas on four sides of the building. It is not used for Sunday worship, and after dedication only church members holding a current temple recommend may enter. Non-members can view the exterior and grounds.

Before this temple opened, believers from the region had to travel 15 to 20 hours to reach the nearest temple in Sydney. This lengthy journey is no longer necessary, transforming access for countless worshippers in South Australia.
