171 La Trobe Street, Mixed-use high-rise in Melbourne, Australia
The 13-story building features a green glass exterior with two vertical components, rectangular windows, and a glass curtain wall facing La Trobe Street.
Constructed in 1991 for 12 million Australian dollars, the structure emerged during Melbourne's commercial development phase following the early 1990s recession.
The building incorporates a 95-panel glass wall by artist Joseph Licciardi in the entry lobby, connecting the interior space with street activity.
The structure contains ten floors of office space, a ground-level tavern, basement parking, three elevators, and two double-story penthouses at the top levels.
The residential penthouses include rooftop gardens and automated glass screens that adjust according to the sun's movement throughout the day.
