Coburg City Hall, City hall in Coburg, Victoria

The Coburg City Hall stands on Bell Street with a white dome and two wings, each containing spacious community halls for public gatherings.

The building opened on April 1, 1922, with Earl of Stradbroke and Mayor W.E. Cash leading the ceremony for this municipal landmark.

Foundation stones mark both World War I service members and C.E. Williams's contribution to establishing the first free public library in Coburg.

The facility serves as corporate headquarters for Moreland City Council following the 1994 merger of Coburg, Brunswick, and parts of Broadmeadows.

In 1930, this venue became the first in Australia to install a Raycophone, an Australian-designed film projection system for public screenings.
