The five-story Yule House features light-colored terracotta tiles on its facade with horizontal beams marked by green tile strips between large steel-framed windows.
After a fire destroyed the original structure in 1931, architects Oakley & Parkes designed this fireproof replacement using reinforced concrete during the economic downturn.
The building represents one of Melbourne's first commercial structures built in the Streamline Moderne style, influencing architectural trends throughout the 1930s.
Located at 309-311 Little Collins Street, the structure offers column-free floors that maximize usable space with retail shops on the ground level.
The facade displays the building's name in sans-serif Eric Gill style lettering, with construction date and street number inscribed on different horizontal beams.
