Glebe, Inner-western administrative division in Sydney, Australia
Glebe extends over 1.8 square kilometers of land between Blackwattle Bay and Rozelle Bay, reaching an elevation of 31 meters above sea level.
The land grant of 162 hectares was allocated to Reverend Richard Johnson in 1790 by Governor Arthur Phillip for the establishment of clergy support.
St John's Church and numerous heritage structures designed by Edmund Blacket represent the architectural evolution of this nineteenth-century neighborhood.
The administrative division connects to central Sydney through Parramatta Road and Broadway, with multiple educational institutions including Sydney Secondary College.
The Glebe Dirty Reds rugby league team, established in 1908, maintains the sporting tradition of this administrative division within local competitions.
