Silver Beach sits along the southern side of Botany Bay with a 200-meter swimming enclosure protected by stone walls and shark nets. The water is calm and safe for swimmers in this designated area.
The beach marks where Captain James Cook landed in 1770, the first recorded European contact with Australia's eastern coast. This location holds significance as an early point of European exploration in the region.
