Woodford Academy, Historic colonial building in Blue Mountains, Australia
The sandstone complex contains preserved rooms, vintage furniture, and educational exhibits spread across multiple connected structures from the 1830s period.
Originally established as an inn for travelers between Sydney and Bathurst, the building transformed into a prestigious academy school from 1907 to 1936.
The building houses an extensive collection of colonial artifacts, including an unexpected discovery of a 17th-century Dutch Master painting in 2022.
The National Trust property opens every third Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM, with entry fees of 12 dollars for adults and 10 dollars for concessions.
The dining hall served multiple functions throughout its existence, including as a Presbyterian worship space between 1924 and 1965.
