Mid-Coast Council

Mid-Coast Council spans across 10,053 square kilometers of territory, encompassing coastal towns, forests, and river systems along the Mid North Coast region.

The council emerged through the consolidation of Gloucester Shire, Great Lakes, and Greater Taree councils in May 2016, marking a significant administrative transformation.

The region maintains strong connections to local indigenous heritage through its landscape features, including the Manning River and Three Brothers mountains.

Residents can access council services at multiple offices located in Forster, Gloucester, Taree, Stroud, and Tea Gardens throughout the administrative area.

The territory contains 190 kilometers of coastline, 3,590 kilometers of roads, and 487 bridges, creating an extensive infrastructure network.
