275 George Street was built from 2007 to 2009 at a cost of A$300 million, developed by Charter Hall and constructed by Watpac to a design by Crone Partners. It was completed in February 2009 and stands immediately behind Brisbane City Hall.
Telstra's lease of floors 2 to 22 was the largest commercial lease in Brisbane's history, and QGC occupies floors 23 to 30. Queensland Government departments and the Director of Public Prosecutions also use floors 16 to 20, so the tower concentrates both corporate and public tenants behind Brisbane City Hall.
