King George Central, Office skyscraper in North Quarter Precinct, Brisbane, Australia

King George Central is a 27-floor office building in Brisbane's business district that rises 129 meters (423 feet) into the skyline, featuring glass facades and contemporary architectural design. The structure provides about 28,000 square meters (301,000 square feet) of office space and operates 12 elevators serving various companies throughout the building.

Construction started in 2009 and finished in 2012, marking a shift in how Brisbane's business district developed during this period. The project emerged as the city experienced rapid growth and increasing demand for modern office space in the downtown area.

The building sits beside the Ann Street Presbyterian Church, blending modern office design with Brisbane's religious landmarks. This proximity shows how contemporary business towers and places of worship coexist in the city center.

The building is easy to reach via Ann Street and provides plenty of elevators to move people between the various office floors. Keep in mind that this is an active office building and access may be limited depending on individual company security policies.

The development incorporated environmental consulting services to embed sustainability solutions into the design, making it one of the early modern office towers to factor in green standards. This focus on eco-conscious features was uncommon for Brisbane's office buildings at the time.
