T & G Building, Brisbane, Commercial building in Brisbane, Australia
The T & G Building stands at the intersection of Queen Street and Albert Street, featuring multiple floors dedicated to office spaces and business facilities.
The structure was built in 1924 for the T&G Mutual Life Assurance Society Company, marking the beginning of their construction projects across Australia and New Zealand.
The building represents the architectural evolution of Brisbane's commercial district, designed by Melbourne firm A & K Henderson in a modern classical style.
The building provides 3,950 square meters of floor space per level, with 19 meeting rooms and collaborative areas that can accommodate up to 192 people.
During World War II, from 1943 to 1944, the building served as the headquarters for the US Army Forces in the Far East under Lieutenant Robert Melloy.
