The single-story rendered brick structure features buttressed walls, pointed arch windows, and stands directly on granite outcrops at 513 Sturt Street.
The church construction in 1922 incorporated 30,000 bricks from a disused powder magazine located eight miles from Townsville, reflecting local material reuse.
The interior space maintains Protestant design principles with an open layout, coffered ceiling, beaded boards, and fretwork ceiling roses.
The church property spans 521 square meters at the intersection of Sturt and Fletcher Streets, with clear views toward Ross Creek.
After Cyclone Leonta damaged the original 1893 building, the congregation used salvaged materials to construct a temporary hall while planning the current structure.
