Saints Theodores is a Greek Orthodox church in Townsville built from red brick with rounded columns that support arches leading to a choir gallery beneath a central tower. The building combines traditional Orthodox architectural features with local construction methods and materials typical of mid-20th century Queensland.

The foundation stone was laid in March 1947 and construction finished in 1950 under the direction of architects M. Vogiatzoglou and J.G. Rooney. This project reflected the growing Greek Orthodox community in Townsville during the post-war period.

The church is named after three saints called Theodore. Its dome and altar icons were painted over twelve months by Angelo Manolios, brought from the Greek island of Lesvos, lying on his back on scaffolding. The first couple married there were Luke and Despo Lucas, on 19 September 1948.

The church stands at 799 Flinders Street in the Townsville CBD, a short walk from the central shopping strip. The steelwork was fabricated by Gelling & Haig, a Flinders Street firm operating from 1931 to 1974. Look for the granite foundation stone laid on 16 March 1947, and note that services began in 1948, two years before the June 1950 dedication.

The dome painting of Christ was made by Angelo Manolios, brought from the Greek island of Lesvos for the task. He worked lying on his back on scaffolding raised for the purpose, and the job took twelve months.
