Saints Theodores Greek Orthodox Church

The red brick church at 799 Flinders Street features rounded columns supporting arches that lead to a choir gallery beneath a central tower.

The foundation stone was laid in March 1947, with construction completed in 1950 under the architectural direction of M. Vogiatzoglou and J.G. Rooney.

The church maintains Greek traditions through its Ethnic Greek School, dancing classes, and religious ceremonies that connect generations of Greek-Australian families.

Religious services take place regularly in the church, which includes a dedicated parking area and remains open for visitors during scheduled hours.

The interior ceiling dome displays a large painting of Christ created by artist Angelo Manolios, complementing the Byzantine architectural elements.
