Plantation Estate is a single-story, wood-frame house of about 5,000 square feet at 57 Kailuana Place in Kailua, Honolulu County, Hawaii, facing the Pacific Ocean. It stands less than one mile south of Marine Corps Base Hawaii, where Barack Obama used the Semper Fit Center during his stays.

Barack Obama first stayed at Plantation Estate in December 2008, after winning the presidency, and returned for Christmas vacations through 2016. During the 2009–2010 stay he visited his grandfather's grave at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, and that trip was cut short after the attempted bombing of Northwest Flight 253. In 2010–2011 he signed the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act while staying here.

The residence blends Hawaiian plantation architectural features like broad roofs, exposed beam structures, and covered lanai spaces that blur the line between indoor and outdoor living.

The property sits near Marine Corps Base Hawaii and is accessible via Kailuana Place in the residential area. Keep in mind that this is a private residence and the grounds are not open to public entry.

During the 2011–2012 stay, Obama lodged a few doors down from the house used in earlier years, so the family's holiday base shifted along the same Kailuana Place street. The house sits less than one mile south of Marine Corps Base Hawaii, where he used the Semper Fit Center.
