Mount Martin

Mount Martin is a stratovolcano in Katmai National Park, Alaska. The summit contains a crater with an acidic lake that comes and goes depending on geothermal activity and weather conditions.

The volcano was named after George C. Martin, who explored the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes in 1912 following the Novarupta eruption. This region sits within one of Alaska's most geologically active zones shaped by repeated volcanic events.
