Vallarta Botanical Gardens

The 79-acre garden contains multiple plant collections, including orchids, magnolias, oaks, bromeliads, agaves, cactus, rhododendrons, and wild palms at 1,300 feet elevation.

The site transformed from a cattle ranch into a botanical garden in 2004 through extensive reforestation with pine, oak, and mahogany trees.

The garden features exhibits on Mexican vanilla production and cacao trees, highlighting the agricultural importance of these plants in Mexican traditions.

Visitors can access the gardens daily except Mondays, with admission at 200 Mexican pesos, and transportation available through bus services or private vehicles.

The Rio Horcones flows through the property, offering natural swimming areas surrounded by native forest vegetation and boulder formations.
